You can delete your Gubbos Swap account and the data linked to it at any time — in the app, or on this page if you no longer have the app. Gubbos Swap is made by Paweł Strzałkowski.
In the app
- Open Gubbos Swap.
- Tap More → Settings.
- Tap "Delete my account", type DELETE and confirm.
On this page
Enter your recovery code (in the app: Settings → Show recovery code). We don't know your email or phone number, so the code is how we know the account is yours.
No app and no recovery code?
Write to contact@gubbos.com and tell us your nickname. Without the code we may not be able to confirm that the account is yours.
What is deleted, what stays
- Deleted at once: every sign-in token, your nickname (it becomes "Deleted player"), your time zone, your recovery code and your feedback. Open swaps are cancelled.
- Critters you hold become wild: nobody owns them and they can't be swapped any more. Their public pages keep working.
- What stays: the critters' DNA and the record of past custody and swaps, because other players' critters depend on them. After deletion this history is linked only to the anonymous deleted account.
- Server logs are kept for 14 days. Photos and videos on your phone are not touched.
